“I have LHZ preamps in my Spectors, and tried the HAZard LAMPS pedal with my Rickenbacker… Holy Moly what a beast! It’s on my pedalboard for everyone to see!”

Texas bassist Keith Long has spent years making his mark on the hard rock and heavy metal scene, performing with projects including Mob Rules, All Hail the Monsters, Harvey the Killer, Judas Rising, and Rokken. His experience and reputation eventually brought him to the attention of guitarist Steve Blaze, founder of legendary New Orleans hard rock band Lillian Axe. When the band began searching for a new bassist in 2026, four musicians independently recommended Long. His first rehearsal sealed the deal, with Blaze praising his professionalism, preparation, and experience.
Long’s musical background is rooted in hard rock and heavy metal, with a particular appreciation for bass tone that delivers plenty of growl. He regularly performs with Spector and Rickenbacker basses along with his Vintage Guitars V74 bass.
Beyond music, Keith has also ventured into independent filmmaking, appearing in a starring role in the 2026 crime film The Falls, directed by Matthew Cayer. Based on a small-town Texas bank robbery, the film premiered in Wichita Falls in October 2026.

Now holding down the low end for Lillian Axe, Long joins a band whose career spans more than four decades and includes landmark albums such as Love + War, Poetic Justice, and Psychoschizophrenia. His arrival coincides with a new chapter for the band, including a forthcoming studio album planned for early 2027 through BraveWords Records.
