I’ve been waiting for some time to write this e-mail, since the installation of the preamp and the resulting sound of my bass has left me speechless.
I understood from the beginning that this originally designed for Spector basses and EMGs, but after our conversation and your honest recommendations for my bass, all I wanted was to hear what sound will come from this pairing.
As you know, I play Ibanez BTB 1606 with Nordstrand Big Singles and Ibanez stock preamp, and it was good enough bass, but for the aggressive music I play, I had to rely heavily on my Darkglass B7K V2 pedal to get what I needed. But, after installing the LHZ, I am seriously considering selling my Darkglass, because I simply don’t need it anymore, LHZ alone gave me exactly what the pedal provided before. It’s strange to say, but my bass is a different instrument now.
You know that all of us bass players are chasing some “ideal tone” that probably isn’t even possible in reality, but I have NEVER been closer to that ideal tone than I am now.
This little magic red board is the best investment I had made in all my years as a musician, and I want to sincerely thank you for making it.
