“If tone matters to you, LHZ Preamps are the only choice.”
As a founding member of the Birmingham, Alabama-based powerhouse Brother Cane, Glenn Maxey was instrumental in propelling the band to mainstream success in the early ’90s with their self-titled debut and the hit “Got No Shame.”
Now, he is entering a massive new chapter with the announcement of Magnolia Medicine, Brother Cane’s first full-length studio album in 28 years.
Set for an early 2026 release via Double Dragon Records, the album—anchored by the fierce lead single “If This Means War”—breaks through the decades with attitude and high-octane grit that is sure to redefine the band’s signature sound.

The foundation of Glenn’s thunderous tone on “If This Means War” is his Spector Euro with EMG pickups and the LHZ preamp. Whether he is laying down a bluesy groove or a driving anthem, this bass brings the versatility and unmistakable tone Glenn relies on in the studio and one the road.
Alongside a powerhouse lineup featuring Damon Johnson, Buck Johnson, Tony Higbee, and Jarred Pope, Glenn Maxey is once again driving the groove as Brother Cane prepares to take Magnolia Medicine on the road in 2026.
